Sports Therapy

These days we tend to push our bodies to the limit and as a result, injuries, sprains and strains from the sports field, work or accidents are common.


Muscular injuries seldom happen "all of a sudden". There is usually a pre-existing condition of tension or improper functioning. Additionally, most of us ignore primary steps in training and daily life, i.e. warm-ups, cool-downs and stretching, with the mindset that these are of little importance and our time is better spent elsewhere.


For many, this philosophy eventually leads to one or more soft-tissue or skeletal injuries.

 

This treatment suits both sport and non sports injuries including work related injuries and general wellness treatments.

 

During the first session a full case and medical history will be taken followed by an examination and assessment to determine the nature and cause of the problem. Thereafter, treatment will commence and a combination of massage, manipulation, mobilisation and stretching techniques will likely be used. In addition an exercise and rehabilitation programme is often prescribed to aid quick recovery and restore you back to normal health.
